Area of application

International experience with alliance models indicates the following areas of application:

  • Project alliances are generally suitable for both public and private construction, as well as for building construction and civil engineering.
  • Experience from abroad shows that project alliances are particularly suitable for the following project categories:
    • Large public infrastructure projects (road, rail, energy and water supply, waste disposal) which are carried out by experienced clients with the appropriate human resources.
    • Public buildings and private projects of all types where the financiers or future users want to have a strong influence on the project planning and realisation (e.g. university buildings, hospital buildings).
